How do my payments work?

We split the bills equally between housemates and set up separate Direct Debits for each of you. No single housemate gets lumbered with the responsibility. No upfront payment or deposit.


Your first payment will be collected by direct debit on or shortly after your account start date. This payment may be less than your usual monthly payment.


Your monthly payment will then be collected on the 1st of each month until your contract comes to an end.

Will my payment amount change throughout the year?

We'll collect the same monthly payment for all your utilities. However, if there is a substantial change to the amount charged by the utility providers, we may need to increase the amount you pay us to cover these unexpected charges.

How do I change my direct debit details?

If you need to change your direct debit details, get in touch and we’ll send you a unique link to do this.

My payment failed, what happens now?

If we’ve failed to collect your monthly payment on the due date, we will re-attempt to collect up to 4 times, within 3-5 working days from the last attempt. You may be charged a late payment fee of £12 if your payment fails.


If your payment fails after 4 attempts we will let your housemates know and we’ll contact you about what happens next.
